Surprise surprise

No cards made this weekend at all, still in a muddle and don't know where we are going to sleep tonight.  Had to empty a wardrobe and pile the contents on the top of our bed and the other room is in total chaos.   Anyone got a tent for hire?
Well the one exciting thing this weekend was my grand-daughter had her prom dance at the weekend in Aberdeen - what is exciting about that do I hear?  Well this girl has never worn a dress since she was 3 years old and here she is all dressed up with her three friends (she is the one with the red hair!!!!!!) I see her dog had to get  in on the act too.  Made her dad feel very old.

Golden wedding

This is another card I made this weekend, it started off as an easel card and somehow or other got black marks over the back of the card - had no more of the same and it was too big to put on to a A4 card  so this is what I finished off with. Oh the trials of a cardmaker.
How the styles have changed in wedding dresses but don't they look nice.

New home

Well what a horrible day here, my other half is on holiday this week so going off for a few days to a lovely hotel near Ayr so hope there are craft shops nearby and the weather improves.  We are stuck through in the kitchen today as the men are working elsewhere.  I mean stuck - we shut the door and forgot that there were no handles and couldn't find anything to get the blooming thing opened!  Oh well joiner to the rescue!
This is a new card I made for a friend with pink petticot image and coloured with promarkers, forgot to take a note of the colours.
The papers used are from a book I bought at the shop in Elgin and think it was called - for the boys or men!

Little boy blue

Well it seems ages since I managed to post anything to my blog, what have I been doing, not a lot.   Good excuse for not doing housework at the moment, my dear son has at last put his men up to do some work on our house, when he did up the bathroom last June, he decided that he would put on an oak door, well have had to do all the rest of the house too.   I hope he realises that once we get all this done, there wont be much inheritance left for him and his brother.  Not looking forward to picking paper, curtains, carpets etc. Last week we celebrated my mother's 90th birthday - the whole family visted her at the home where she is staying and she lasted out  pretty well.  She had been telling the rest of the residents she was going to be a 100 and they all said she looked good for her age, she says now I know why!   We had a lovely day although I am sure my two teenage grandchildren were bored stiff with us old stodgers.
This is a card I made for my friend's grandson.
