A birthday card for Helen

Well it looks like the fine spell of weather has gone.   Pity because we are having my bil and sil from Wales staying with us for two weeks as from tomorrow.   Have been in Mrs Scrubber mode these last few days trying to get all the jobs done that I don 't seem to have time to do or for that matter the inclination.  Like everything tidy when they arrive and then it doesn't matter for the rest of their stay.  Wont have time to make any cards but will try and catch up with all you bloggers.

This card was made for my friend Helen who had a birthday yesterday.

Background distressed with Antique Linen
Hero Arts Dots
Hero arts typewriter stamp
Ribbon and flower from stash(a bit squint!!!!)

Engagement Card

This is an engagement card I made for an order.  Image is an Owl for all occasions download. The embossing folder used I got from Helen, can't remember the name at the  moment but it is a lovely one.   Flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts, ribbon from stash and the nestie shapes are distressed with Faded Jeans.

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday at Huntly with the lovely Debbie.   She makes everything so easy.  Hope it wont be too long before she comes back again. Thanks Aud for arranging these crafty afternoons.

BABY BOY

Gosh my 2nd day of blogging and already I am hooked.  I will never forget the day that Carol has led me to this blogging  life - the day of my  grand-daughter's 18th  birthday. Time flies, it seems no time since she was just a little girl and here she is  now a lovely girl with pink hair at the moment!  Oh well granny you had your mad moments too when you were young.

This card was one of three I made for a friend.    I am not a fancy card maker and always scared I put too much on, however I rocked the boat and added some flowers.

The card is from Craftwork cards
The baby image is the new Funky Kit images
Two nestie shapes
the papers are Sweet Pea from fancypants design
Flowers from Wildorchid Craft
Ribbon and beads from my stash

No time to waste now, off to the Theatre to see Hairspray with a lovely bunch of ladies from our Over 50 Club, then stop on the way home for our tea.

Card made for my mother

The stamps used are stamping up for the flowers - and as I take my clear stamps out of the packaging, have no idea about  the butterflies.   Ribbon from my stash, the silver beads are from Joy Crafts and Martha Stewart border punch.

Newbie

Well I have finally taken the plunge to join the land of the bloggers.  My good friend Carol has got me up and running so bear with me if I make any blunders. She may have a lot to answer for yet!
